What you’ll be doing

  • Ready to embrace OUTDOOR LEARNING!
  • Supervising children within the nursery environment, including mealtimes, rest periods and nappy changing/toileting
  • Creating fun and engaging activities to suit the needs of the children
  • Promote good hygiene practices
  • Building solid, caring relationships with parents/carers, families, professionals, and your team
  • Keeping accurate records and communicating with parents/carers
  • Supporting your team members and being a positive role model, who looks to develop and suggest positive changes
  • Leading the room in the absence of the room leader
  • Attend staff meetings or any training courses that will help enhance your personal and professional development
  • Monitor and record all accidents
  • Adhering to and implement all nursery procedures and policies

About you

  • Hold a full and relevant level 3 Early Years Qualification
  • Have a good knowledge and understanding of safeguarding duties, nursery procedures and policies
  • Have good knowledge of birth to 5 development and the EYFS curriculum
  • Excellent practice within an early years setting
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge in Early Years and have full understanding of children’s emotional, physical, psychological and educational developmental needs
  • A positive attitude with an unwavering commitment to service excellence to allow us to maintain our high standards
  • Be able to work as a team
  • Have a professional attitude and manner
